These 5 units are EVN-dependent accounting ones with their own seals, being entitled to open accounts at banks, State treasuries and operate under the decentralization and authorization of EVN. Particularly, three new Power project management boards were newly established on the basis of reorganizing and restructuring former project management boards under EVN as follows:
Power project management Board No. 1 (EVNPMB1) is established on the basis of human resources, assets and material facilities of Son La Hydropower Plant Project Management Board (Decision No. 306/QD-EVN dated 22 November 2018). There are some projects assigned by EVN to this unit for management such as: Construction Projects of Son La Hydropower Plant; Lai Chau Hydropower Plant; Dung Quat I, III mixed gas turbine power plants and shared infrastructure project; Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion; Moc Chau pumped-storage hydropower project, etc.
Power project management Board No. 2 (EVNPMB2) is established on the basis of human resources, assets and material facilities of Thermal Power Project Management Board No. 2 and Hydropower Project Management Board No. 1 (Decision No. 305/QD-EVN dated 22 November 2018). There are some projects assigned to this unit by EVN to manage such as: Huoi Quang hydropower project; Ban Chat hydropower project; projects of Quang Trach Power Center; Ialy Hydropower plant expansion; Se San 4 Solar Power Plant; project of Solar Power Plant on Se San 4 hydropower reservoir, etc.
Power project management Board No. 3 (EVNPMB3) is established on the basis of human resources, assets and material facilities of Hydropower Project Management Board 5, Hydropower Project Management Board 6 and transferring some personnel from Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Project Management Board (Decision No. 307/QD-EVN dated 22 November 2018). There are some projects assigned to this unit by EVN for management such as: Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Project (handling outstanding parts); Project of O Mon III and O Mon IV Thermal Power Plants; projects of Tan Phuoc Power Center; Thac Mo Hydropower Plant expansion project; Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion project; solar power projects of Tri An, Phuoc Thai, Song Binh, Phuoc Trung and Loc Ninh 1; Bac Ai, Don Duong pumped-storage hydropower plants, etc.
The decisions on establishing the 2 remaining units of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant (Decision No. 298/QD-EVN) and EVN Power Service Center (Decision No. 299/QD-EVN) were also issued on 22 November 2018.
One of the main business lines of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant is power generation and trading; participating in the electricity market in accordance with the roadmap approved by the competent authorities. This unit also manages the operation of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant and Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant expansion, Phuoc Thai Solar Power Plant after its operation.
The main business lines of EVN Power Service Center (EVNPSC) are service of repair, maintenance, overhaul, improvement, upgrading of electric, mechanical, control equipment, automation of hydropower, thermal, gas turbine power plants and their architectures; testing, calibrating electric equipment, transmission lines and substation; periodical technical inspection of electric equipment and tools; consultancy in: project management, design survey, investment project preparation, bidding, cost estimation preparation, examination and verification, supervision of construction and installation of equipment in works of power source, transmission line and substation.
